Description

In this paper, we study the open charm strong decay of excited P-wave charmonium states with Godfrey-Isgur (GI) model and relativistic quark-pair creation model. The mass spectrum of 2P to 5P charmonium states are presented using GI model. The open charm strong decay amplitudes and widths are calculated by harmonic oscillator wave functions and relativistic quark-pair creation model. By analysing and comparing our calculations with experiments and other theories, we discuss the properties of P-wave excited charmonium states.
